THOUGHTS FROM THE PRESIDENT
“Our love to God is measured by our everyday fellowship with others and the love it displays” - Andrew Murray
What a gathering of fellowship I hope this month will bring! The council met with Bishop Kreiss and Pastors Sean and Alex. While the meeting came with many mixed feelings, after our council meeting on the 8th, the council itself feels unified in our efforts to continue pushing forward with getting St. Mark reopen and back out into the community. We may be a small community of faith, but our faith and our fellowship is strong. As a unified church, strong in our love for our God and each other, we can and will overcome anything thrown our way. It might take some hard work and effort, but we can do anything we set our hearts and minds to.
This effort starts this Sunday! We are starting the first of what we know to be more “Worship Watch Parties” where congregation members will gather together to give Praise and Worship to our God. I hope as many people who can, join us! Gathered together again to see smiling faces, and hear voices speaking and singing as one. To me, this is what I have missed the most. It's what brings me the most joy! I have missed each and every one of you. Missed your faces, your voices raised together, your smiles that reach your eyes, and your hugs during peace. I won't be afraid to say that Covid has brought it's fair share of hardship for St. Mark, but I am so very grateful that we have persevered to this point of being able to open the doors and gather again.
We will also continue to persevere! It will often feel like baby steps... but it's these steps that will continue to move us forward in the path we need to take. We are not alone in these steps though; we are together. Together, as one fellowship.. as one church.. as one Family of Faith.
The doors will open at 10am on Sunday the 13th. There will be Holy Communion! Come everyone!

SOME HAPPY NEWS
Our PPP Loan has been forgiven.
Thanks to the original efforts of Maggie who alerted Council that we might qualify, and the work of Onda and Vicar Anna in preparing the application, St Mark successfully applied for and received funds from the PPP Loan program. We just learned that, thanks to Joyce who alerted Council that "loan forgiveness" was a possibility, and Onda who once again did the work, that our PPP Loan has been forgiven and we will not be required to repay.
