St. Mark Lutheran Church is a community of people living and growing in God’s grace in Christ. It is made up of people – older and younger, children and infants – gathering together in God’s presence to be transformed. It is not a community to be part of if you want to stay the same! We believe God is at work – in the world, and in each of us. We seek to be responsive to what God is doing – and to join God at work in the world.
Worship is a central part of our life together. Each week when we gather we celebrate God’s gifts in Holy Communion. We offer ourselves in praise and song. Every other week our contemporary worship team “House of the Risen Son” serves as our ministers of music. On the alternating weeks, music is led by our organist, Barb Foster. Our choir, led by Terry Karns, sings once a month. And our growing youth band, “There is Hope”, plays every fifth Sunday or so.
We seek to be connected to our neighborhoods. We seek to be a community of grace where all are welcome, in both the things we share and the things that differ. We know God is present throughout the world and all people– everyone offers a special part of God’s grace.
In other words, you are welcome at St. Mark.
In Christ,
Pastor Julianne Smeck
